Oscar Darling?

Is Paprika Steen Oscar’s next Golden Girl? She was under consideration for Best Actress last year for her knock-out performance in APPLAUSE. Now, SuperClásico, the futbol film in which she stars as a Danish housewife who runs off to Argentina and finds romance,  has been selected as Denmark's official entry into the Academy Awards race in the Best Foreign Language Film category.

Viva Buenos Aires!

Catch the trailer for Paprika's new film, SuperClásico, the actresses’ recent followup to APPLAUSE. In the Spanish language film, she plays a disenchanted wife and mother who runs off Buenos Aires to live out her dream of being a sports agent and winds up falling for Argentina's number one soccer star. But when her family follows after her, will she change her mind about coming home?

The Toronto International Film Festival recently reviewed the film, calling it “Quite possibly the happiest movie about divorce ever made...a smart, frequently laugh out loud comedy”.
